"Spellbinding...action packed prose...
The book reads more like a novel than
a military history...the Horse Soldier's
secret mission remains the U.S.
military's finest moment in what has
what has since arguably been a muddled war."
Such wise council. One can only hope that these sentiments are understood by our government leaders, who seem to be making a history of terrible military decisions: go when we should stay, stay when we should go, attack when we should be diplomatic. It feels as if we are earning a reputation as being fickle and undependable by the choices we make.
